It’s hard to come by any phablet that comes with all these features. Below mentioned Asus phones are 4G VoLTE enabled and the specs not only looks good on papers but also deliver a splendid user experience.
Asus Mobiles with 3GB RAM
In the sea of crowded list of Asus Smartphones in the Indian market only 4 makes it to this post. Rest eith lacks the 4G VoLTE or has a lower RAM. All these are fully loaded and launched recently.
First is the 3s Max and just like every Asus phone, it has a confusingly long unpronounceable model number, but we’ll rather look at what’s inside the package.
Apart from a RAM of 3-gigs it has a long eye-popping specs like a whopping 5,000mAh battery to keep the phone alive, a surprisingly 2 TB of expandable storage option on top of 32 GB of internal. OTG support for a better gaming experience and fingerprint sensor for an extra layer of security. It will be available online for INR 14,999.
The size of display is smaller than standard at 5.2-inches but we shall take it because of the sharp display it offers.
It runs the recent Android v7.0 Nougat out of the box with a layer of a custom user interface by the company called ZenUI 3.0. It will come in a full metal unibody and the overall design is great, it looks good and will grab the attention for sure.
CPU-wise, Octa-core, 1.5 GHz acts as a main worker and Mali-T860 MP2 as gaphic card is the second worker. Both are paired with a higher RAM and a MediaTek MT6750 chipset.
Asus is slowly and steadily working on the optics side of their models which in future might keep the likes of Vivo and Moto on toes.
Photography will be good not great with 3s Max, we have a 13-megapixel rear with Dual-color LED flash and an 8 MP front camera which comes with 2.2 F aperture and fixed focus. The snapper is of course better than average but could have been great.
2. 3 Max
Not much difference between this and the 3s Max. This one has a 4,100mAh batter and runs Marshmallow OS. Rest all the specs are similar except it’s cheaper price tag of Rs. 12,497.
3. Max 2016
Now this one comes in two variant, 2GB and 3GB but we’ll discuss about the latter.
It sports a medium 5.5″ HD screen with an LED display and a screen supportive gorilla glass protection. 5000mAh cell will keep the phone running for up to 37 hours.
Software-wise, it has a Marshmallow v6.0 operating system with ZEN UI 2.0. Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 is the main chipset inside that would help the octa-core processor clock at 1.7 GHz and Adreno 405 is the graphic card and both makes it a fast handset.
We do have a 3-gigs of RAM and an inner memory of 32 GB with expandable option by microSD card up to 64 GB.
The OTG and bunch of other networking technology will provide a smooth browsing and gaming experience.
Camera-wise, it has a 13 MP main camera with same sets of sensors and modes as 3s but the 2016 has two unique features a) laser auto focus and b) Back-illuminated sensor. For selfie takers, there is a 5-MP snapper with 2.0 F as aperture.
The model is priced at Rs. 12,999 on Flipkart.
Last but not the least, 2 Laser is the cheapest mobile in this article at Rs. 10,999 but has a mid-tier inspired specifications. It flaunts a 5.5 inch HD LCD display and a corning gorilla glass 4 layer. The screen to body ratio is 70.67 % which is the bigger than any other in this post.
Again, we have a 3-gigs RAM and a 16 GB of inner memory which is quite small and should be larger but it allows you to expand the same up to 128 GB. So you need to buy a microSD card to save more data like games and apps.
It runs Android v5.0 out of the box with Zen UI 2.0.
Asus affair with the on-the-go (OTG) continues, we have the same hardware component as well.
At its heart, the octa-core processor will click at 1.5 GHz and is co-powered by Adreno 405 as GPU. Take no doubt about the battery because 3000mAh cell will make things easier and won’t be necessary to keep charging the phone again and again.
On the optics side, it is seen with a 13 MP main and 5 MP selfie cam and Asus has been generous with the 2 Laser as they ingested it with an LED flash on both the cameras.
