HTC is a well-known brand in the high-priced segment but the Desire 530 is one such model that has a topping of “affordable flagship” kind of features and available at a lower price but still a little expensive than other mobiles in the same price group.
At INR 10,490 the Desire 530 is listed exclusively on Amazon and comes in Grey and White color variant. If price doesn’t bother you then it’s a must have gadget for all those users who is looking to switch to a powerful device from a top reputed brand.
HTC Desire 530 Review
The device runs Android v6.0 (Marshmallow) and stacked with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chipset, driving a Quad-core processor with 1.1 GHz speed. It is co-powered by an Adreno 304 graphic card, both are paired with a 1.5 gigs of RAM.
Under its hood, the 16 GB of memory is most welcome and the same can be expanded up to 128 GB. Both are enough if we consider the MRP.
On the optics front, it is seen with an 8 megapixel camera with Back-illuminated sensor and LED flash. There is a 2.4 F aperture, ISO control and bunch of other common features and modes.
On the front though, we have a 5 MP cam for selfie and the quality is nice, works great in low light too.
Tasked with keeping the phone running is a 2200mAh Li-ion cell and the fact it has a lower than standard display panel of 5-inches, we can expect it to last longer than any 5.5″ handset in the same price segment.
Going in-depth on the screen section, we have an HD panel bearing a resolution of 720 × 1280 pixels and a very good 294 ppi. And no it’s not a TFT but an S-LCD display type which can be classified as a better opt than an ordinary LCD layer.
The screen to body ratio is on the lower side at 66.02% which means even though the screen measures as 5-inch but the height remains on the higher side at 146.9 mm. The thickness of 8.3 mm will make it sleek and you can easily use it with a single hand.
Surprisingly, it can only make use of single SIM, yes it’s not a dual SIM mobile which might frustrate the existing HTC user but it surely has helped it to lost few grams.
The back cover is sprinted with dots of different colors and the position of the main camera is kept on the left side rather than in the middle which is commonly found in almost every Smartphone. The overall design is quite unique which makes it a rare looking model in the sea of similar-looking phones.
The company has ingested it with all the needed connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Hotspot, GPS and others that you can think of including 4G.
It is little on the higher side from the price prospective but worthy of trying for sure.
Buy it for the large storage specifically the expandable capacity and as expected out from every HTC model, the sound quality is impressive.
So what kind of users should check this out? Well! those who love taking snapshots and definitely the selfie takers must check this out and all those gaming users might want to pass it look towards either Nubia Z11 or Panasonic Eluga Pulse.
